The iCare Life “LADY DRIVER BRIGADE” participated in the Pinkathon, which was flagged off by the Chairman of State Bank of India, Mrs Arundathi Bhattacharya, Transport Commissioner Maharashtra, Mrs Sonia Sethi and Actor Mr Milind Soman. The dignitaries congratulated them for taking up the profession of a ‘lady commercial taxi driver’, by enrolling in the intensive iCare Life Taxi Driver certification course. Mrs Sonia Sethi made a special mention that she had facilitated permission for women who wanted to take up this profession by giving them an offline licensing facility.
The Pinkathon is more than a Marathon. It is the seed of change. It is the beginning of a movement carried forward by a growing community of empowered women across India, who share a belief that a healthy family, a healthy nation and a healthy world begins with empowered women.
iCare Life at the heart of its vision, has the desire to empower the informal service providers by training them to deliver superior service quality and give them an opportunity to get better jobs. iCare Life’s “LADY DRIVER BRIGADE” was delighted to participate in the event, all the women trainees completed the 5 km lap.
